Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 20, 2026

1. Who we are

DawamHR ("we", "us", "our") provides attendance and time-tracking software for small businesses in the GCC. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it.

If you have questions about this policy, contact us at hrdawam@gmail.com.

2. What data we collect

Account data — name, email address, and password (hashed) when you create an account or accept an invitation.

Attendance data — clock-in and clock-out timestamps, session durations, and any manual punch edits made by an administrator.

Location data — if your employer enables geofenced clock-ins, we collect the GPS coordinates at the moment of clock-in only. We do not track your location continuously.

Usage data — browser type, device type, and pages visited, used to improve the product. This data is not linked to your identity.

3. How we use your data

We use the data we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the DawamHR service
  • Calculate attendance hours and generate payroll summaries
  • Allow administrators to manage their team's records
  • Send transactional emails (invitations, password resets)
  • Diagnose bugs and improve the product

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not sell it to third parties.

4. Data isolation and access control

Each company's data is fully isolated. Employees can only see their own records. Administrators can see records for their own company only. DawamHR staff can access data solely for the purpose of providing support and are bound by confidentiality obligations.

5. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you close your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days. Attendance records may be retained in anonymised, aggregated form for product analytics.

6. Third-party services

DawamHR is built on Supabase (database and authentication) and is hosted on infrastructure within the European Union. These providers are bound by data processing agreements and do not use your data for any purpose other than providing their infrastructure services.

7. Your rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Export your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hrdawam@gmail.com.

8. Cookies

DawamHR uses a single session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. To understand aggregate usage we use a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service (Vercel Analytics), which does not set cookies or identify you personally.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top and, for significant changes, notify you by email.
