Resignation Letter Format for Kuwait
A ready-to-use resignation letter in English and Arabic, with the notice period under Article 44 of Kuwait Labor Law built in. Copy it or download it for Word.
Kuwait Labor Law requires resignation from an unlimited contract to be given as written notice — at least three months for monthly-paid workers, one month for others. A dated letter that states your last working day is what makes the notice count.
Keep the tone neutral and short: the letter is a legal record, not the place for grievances. Keep a signed copy, and remember that resigning affects end-of-service indemnity — check the tiers before you send it.

Frequently asked questions
How much notice do I have to give?
On an unlimited contract: at least three months if you are paid monthly, one month otherwise (Article 44). Your contract may set a longer period.
Can I leave before the notice period ends?
Only by agreement with the employer, or by paying salary in lieu of the remaining notice. Leaving without either can make you liable for the notice-period pay.
Do I keep my indemnity when I resign?
Partly, based on service: nothing before 3 years, half from 3–5 years, two-thirds from 5–10, and the full amount from 10 years.
