Calculate the settlement

How does the employment end?

Fill in the salary and dates to see the settlement.

A final settlement in Kuwait has three parts: end-of-service indemnity under Articles 51–53, notice pay under Article 44 when the employer ends the employment without the notice being worked, and a cash-out of accrued unused annual leave at the last wage.

Resignation changes two of the three: the indemnity is reduced by the service-length tiers (nothing before 3 years, half from 3–5, two-thirds from 5–10, full from 10), and notice pay is not owed to a resigning worker. The leave cash-out is unaffected.

Frequently asked questions

What is included in a final settlement in Kuwait?

End-of-service indemnity, notice pay (or the worked notice), the cash-out of unused annual leave at the last wage, and any outstanding salary — all due when the employment ends.

Is unused annual leave paid out when I leave?

Yes — accrued annual leave that was never taken is paid in cash at the last wage when the employment ends, whether you resign or are terminated.

Does resigning reduce my settlement?

It can reduce the indemnity part, based on service length: nothing before 3 years, half from 3–5 years, two-thirds from 5–10, full from 10. The leave cash-out is not reduced.
