Employee Warning Letter Template for Kuwait
A formal written warning in English and Arabic — incident, policy breached, corrective action and employee acknowledgment. Copy it or download it for Word.
Written warnings are how discipline is documented. If a dismissal is ever challenged, dated warnings that name the incident and the policy breached are the employer’s record that termination had cause — dismissal without notice or indemnity is only lawful in the narrow Article 41 cases.
A useful warning is specific: what happened and when, which duty it breached, what must change and by when, and what happens if it recurs. Have the employee sign to acknowledge receipt — and note a refusal with a witness rather than forcing it.
What it should include

Frequently asked questions
Is a verbal warning enough?
Verbal warnings have their place for minor issues, but only written, dated warnings create the record that matters if discipline is ever escalated or challenged.
How many warnings are needed before dismissal?
The law sets no fixed number — dismissal must have lawful cause. Progressive, documented warnings are how employers show that cause existed and the employee was given the chance to correct it.
Does the employee have to sign the warning?
The signature acknowledges receipt, not agreement. If the employee refuses to sign, record the refusal in front of a witness and file the letter anyway.
